    I’m Henry the VIII, I am

    I want to tell you a sweet story from when I first started letting other people know I was practicing to become a Medium. I did this reading in the same way I would do yours if you would ever like a little bit of evidence that your loved one is still around you. I ask who you want to contact and then I meditate quietly for about 20 minutes when I have time. I write down everything I receive and then send it to you and ask for feedback on whether or not it is relevant. This is an excerpt from my journal:

    April 14, 2025

    I knew I had to keep practicing evidential mediumship so I asked a friend of mine if it would be okay if I tried to communicate with her Mom. She said that was fine, so I tried in the evening and sent her a text letting her know what I received and went to bed. I told her I wasn’t sure if I got a connection or not. At the beginning I heard the soft jingle of a dog collar. Later, I heard the words “King” and “Henry,” and I kept hearing “Henry the VIII, I am” from the song “I’m Henry the VIII, I am” by Herman’s Hermits, but I didn’t know if it was my mind doing that because of the names King and Henry. 

    In the morning she texted me and told me her Mom was in love with the royal family. Her brother got a dog after her Mom died, and named him Henry. Her Mom always thought her brother looked like Prince Harry. He was going to name the dog Harry in memory of his Mom’s love of the royals until he found out Harry’s name is actually Henry. She also told me the sound of a dog collar was probably just an acknowledgment of how much her Mom loved dogs.

    Her feedback made me feel so much better because I thought it was all just nonsense. I had gone to bed thinking that I had failed her and was pretty bummed about it. I never knew that her Mom was so into the royal family. She told me that her Mom watched and read everything she could about the royal family. Queen Elizabeth died soon after her Mom did and she knew that her Mom was going to try to find a way to find her in heaven. She also said that the song “I’m Henry the VIII, I am” would have been a song she would have sung to tease her brother about naming his dog Henry. I saw it all as an acknowledgment that she was still around them and knew what was going on.

    Queen of My Double Wide Trailer

    I get a lot of messages through music from spirit. I don’t always have to be meditating. I just need to be doing a mundane task that takes my mind off of things. My mind has to be clear and not clouded with a bunch of the typical thoughts we all get throughout the day. Sometimes I get the music directly in my head and other times I get it through the music on the radio in my car or from my phone when I have iTunes on shuffle. I do this so that my music can be controlled by spirit. I don’t know how or why, but they seem to be able to control energy like lights, radios, televisions, computers, phones, etc. Pay attention to the music you hear. If you repeatedly hear a song, it may be a message the spirit world is trying to communicate with you or you may hear a song in response to a problem you are currently trying to work through in your life.

    My Dad is so clever when he comes to visit me. I went for a run this morning and during the run I heard an old song that I had downloaded a few years back because it was a song he liked and it made me think of him. Towards the end of my run I heard another old song that always makes me think of him as well and I realized he was saying, “Hi” and letting me know that he was around. I said (in my head) “Hey, I know I shouldn’t ask, but if you can, can you make the next song something that will tell me it’s you?” The starting melody of “Queen of My Double Wide Trailer “ by Sammy Kershaw came on and I thought, “Okay, bummer, it’s not him.” But then, I heard the first lyric and realized it WAS him. The lyric was, “Well I met her out at Murphy’s Restaurant, she said she was fresh from the farm.” That was a direct reference to him and my Mom meeting. They met pretty soon after she had moved to Omaha. It wasn’t a restaurant, but she was literally “fresh from the farm.” The wonderful feeling I get from these clever little messages is priceless. I just want to give other people that feeling too!
